Channel Screens

Designed for removing, dewatering and compacting solids from influent stream.

Solids are trapped by the lower screen section then conveyed via a shaftless spiral; the solids are washed by a series of spray nozzles in the transport section then dewatered in the compaction zone.

Efficiency:

  • Screen shape contributes to minimize turbulence and increases screen efficiency.
  • Spray wash system to clean screenings.
  • Compaction zone: dewaters and reduces screening volumes.

Low cost operation:

  • Shaftless screw, no submerged bearings or seals.
  • Compact and robust design.
  • Direct coupled gear drive and motor.
  • Pivot type support (for ease of maintenance).
